Thai Weightlifting Association Prepares to Host 2024 IWF World Cup Qualifiers
March 14th, 2024 - Phuket, Thailand: The Thai Weightlifting Association is gearing up to host the 2024 IWF World Cup, a crucial qualifier for the upcoming Paris Games. Led by General Wisut Dechsakul, Secretary-General of the Thai Weightlifting Association, along with Rear Admiral Phetkasem Latarporn, Deputy Secretary-General and Registrar, Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Wattanachai Charoenrattanakorn, Technical Committee Chairman, Mr.Sompote Yimploy, Competition Management Committee Chairman, Associate Professor Dr.Chomchai Lertamornrat, Community Development Committee Chairman, and Ms.Pattama Lamtem, treasurer, the team recently visited Phuket Province from March 11th to 13th, 2024. Their mission was to assess the preparations for hosting the weightlifting event at Phuket Rajabhat University.
The 2024 IWF World Cup serves as a qualifying event for the Paris Games, set to take place from March 31st to April 11th, 2024.
