Bangkok, Thailand - Three formidable Thai weightlifters, " Sanikun-Thanyathon -Natcha," are gearing up to compete for gold in weightlifting at the 19th Asian Games, scheduled to commence on September 30, 2023, in Hangzhou, China. This prestigious event will see them face fierce competition from the host nation, China, as well as North Korea.

The weightlifting competition at the 19th Asian Games, taking place from September 30 to October 7, 2023, at the Xiexiang Sports Center Gymnasium, will feature a total of 183 powerlifters from 30 countries, including 83 women and 100 men. Only four nations, namely North Korea, South Korea, Kazakhstan, and Thailand, have sent a full quota of 14 athletes, with the host nation, China, sending 13 athletes, comprising 6 women and 7 men.
