18 Powerhouses Gear Up for World Cup Battle - Media Witnesses Intensive Training Sessions

The Thai Weightlifting Association has unveiled the participation of 18 powerhouses in the upcoming "Weightlifting 2024 IWF World Cup," scheduled from March 31st to April 11th, 2024, at Phuket Rajabhat University, Phuket Province. Media outlets are invited to witness and report on the intense training sessions as the athletes prepare for the prestigious competition.

Led by Seth Yod Lieutenant General Intharat Yodbangtoey, President of the Thai Weightlifting Association, the media had the opportunity to observe the rigorous training sessions, capturing the dedication and determination of the athletes.

The Thai team comprises 9 female athletes and 9 male athletes, each competing in various weight categories. Notable female athletes include Siriwimon Pramongkhol (45kg), Khemika Kamika Kamnoedsri (45kg), Thanyathon Sukcharoen (49kg), Surodchana Khambao(49kg), Poisian Yodsarn (55kg), Panadda Haengnamchot (55kg), Suratwadee Yodsarn (59kg), Phattharathida Wongsing (76kg), and Duangaksorn Chaidee (over 87kg). Male athletes include Witoon Mingmoon (55kg), Natthawat Chomchuen (55kg), Theerapong Silachai (61kg), Teerapat Chomchuen(61kg), Teerawat Ratphet (67kg), Patsaphong Thongsuk (67kg), Weeraphon Wichuma (73kg), Sarat Sumpradit (102kg), and Rungsuriya Panya (over 109kg).

The team is under the management and coaching of General Yosanant Raicharoen, with assistance from several coaching staff and medical professionals.

The "Weightlifting 2024 IWF World Cup" serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, with competitions taking place from March 31st to April 11th, 2024, at Phuket Rajabhat University, Phuket Province. Interested individuals can attend the event free of charge or catch the action live on various sports channels.
