Prachya Keeratinan, the President of the Thailand Amateur Weightlifting Association (TAWA), presented a framed portrait to honor and extend congratulations to Major General Intharat Yodbangtoey, Honorary President of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), on the occasion of his appointment to the esteemed position. Maj. Gen. Intharat Yodbangtoey has been actively promoting weightlifting both nationally and internationally for over 30 years and was awarded an Honorary Medal for his dedication to the sport.

The board members of the Weightlifting Association of Thailand expressed their felicitations during the executive committee meeting held on October 26th, 2023, at Room 217, Rajamangala National Stadium, Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT).

The Weightlifting Federation of Singapore has extended an invitation to Captain Phetkasem Latarporn, Deputy Secretary and Registrar of the Weightlifting Association of Thailand, to preside over the control and judging of the Singapore National Weightlifting Championship on November 4th-5th, 2023.

Captain Phetkasem Latarporn has been invited on several occasions, the most recent being his involvement in the Singapore International Invitational, held from June 2nd to 4th, 2023.

Major Gen Intharat Yodbangtoey, and TAWA Adviser Chairperson Bussaba Yodbangtoey, General Wisut Dechsakul, President and Secretary-General of the Thai Weightlifting Association, Air Marshal Wattanachai Charoenrattanakorn, Technical Committee Chairman, and Lieutenant General Wutthichai Isara, Director of the Medical Department, convened a meeting with the support team to plan and strategize vital steps for the enhanced organization of the weightlifting team. The meeting took place at the Weightlifting Training Center in Chiang Mai from the 21st to the 23rd of October 2023

The primary objective of the meeting was to prioritize and streamline crucial operations, with the immediate focus being the preparation of athletes for the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games. The discussions spanned across various domains including medical provisions, sports medicine, sports science, psychology, nutrition, coaching, and athlete development. The aim of this comprehensive approach is to ensure the team's optimal performance and seamless coordination leading up to the prestigious global event.
