Thai Powerlifting Phenom Siriwimon Pramongkhol Clinches 3 Silver Medals in the 45kg Women's Category at the 2024 Asian Weightlifting Championships in Taskent, Uzbekistan.
In the fiercely contested 2024 Asian Weightlifting Championships held in Taskent, Uzbekistan from February 3rd to 10th, 2024, serving as the Olympic Games 2024 qualification rounds in Paris, France, Thai powerlifting sensation Miss Siriwimon Pramongkhol showcased her strength and skill by securing three silver medals in the 45kg women's category.
Initiating her lifts with a successful attempt at 72kg, Siriwimon faced a setback in her second attempt at 76kg. Undeterred, she made her third attempt at 79kg, contributing to her overall achievement of three silver medals in this prestigious competition.
The Asian Weightlifting Championships serves as a significant platform for athletes to vie for victory and Olympic qualification. Siriwimon's remarkable performance adds to Thailand's weightlifting prowess and her own legacy, following her impressive achievement of three gold medals at the previous World Weightlifting Championships in Saudi Arabia.
While Siriwimon claimed silver, other noteworthy participants included Won Hyon Sim from North Korea, securing three gold medals in the 86kg snatch, 106kg clean and jerk, and a total weight of 192kg. Hong Zi-Yu from Taiwan also earned three bronze medals with lifts of 72kg in snatch, 90kg in clean and jerk, and a total weight of 162kg.
